Hello to all as I start the first post from this new FREE! site. Things have not changed much since I last wrote—in May, I'm afraid. I've stayed the same in cancer mode. Remission. Yay! My diabetes is a full-blown pain in the butt. But I'm dealing. No other choice. The headaches have been maddening. I have them every night -- at least 3 a night lasting about an hour each. My sleep has not been good. I had 5 hours of sleep in a row one night about a month ago, but that was only one night and the only one in over 4 months. I've been getting them off and on at work, too. Not fun. Still, all in all, I'm doing good.
I've been worried about people around me, though. I'm hearing of all kinds of illnesses from authors -- more than ever before. The world seems to be deteriorating in many ways, and killing us off in the process.
Schiffer had the company picnic yesterday and it was lovely. I got to see many of my authors -- some I'd already met, others I met for the first time. It was so great to put faces to names. There is life beyond email and telephones! It's especially nice since I don't get out into the field as much as I used to.
Well, I'll be having another scan test done within the next 8 weeks to make sure the cancer is staying at bay, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll keep you all posted!
