Spring is finally here and I thought it would never arrive! It, of course, reminds me that I've not done my homework of keeping anyone interested up to date on my progress! I guess I will be apologizing for that forever because, as most of you know, I'm terrible at keeping up!
I did have a gentle reminder today that some people may not be as open and nice as others. One of my dear authors, Robert T, called today wondering how he could get in touch with the person handling my fundraising campaign for the treatments for my breast cancer. It would seem that the person who was asking for money using my name (only without the h on the end of Dinah) a couple years ago is still out and about. As on my landing page for this blog says, I am NOT and NEVER DID or WILL ask for money from anyone. I only ask for prayers and well wishes because I believe that is one of the main reasons I remain in remission. I do not want to see any of my friends, family, and extended family (including my authors and coworkers in that extended family!) to be harmed by someone when they think they are helping me. It pains me to think that someone would use this dreaded disease to further their own financial well-being. Now I don't know for sure that this lady is not really stricken as I am—it could be on the up and up—I'm just wanting you to know that you should not give money to my cause. A call from you, a quick email to say hi, or a prayer or positive thought is so much more appreciated and all that I personally need. I love you all.
I am still in remission. Next month I go for the dreaded scans that happen every six months and I'm terribly claustrophobic in the MRI machine. Doesn't matter open or closed, I have to use Adivan. This time I have to drink the horrible vanilla chalk milk gross stuff, too.
My diabetes is still kicking my butt, but (knocking on wood) have not been having the cluster headaches for about a year I think! So all in all, I'm doing well.
Let's see...I have a new Tarot deck just released: First Light Tarot. It is a combination of the 22 Majors and another 22 insight cards (channeled), and there's 22 spread cards and a cheat sheet so you don't have to remember anything. The images are from the Hubble Telescope. Good reasonable price. It's getting good reviews.
